The Innovations in Government Program supports the publication of books on social innovation, public and private partnerships, public management, and the practice and study of the innovations in government. Publications can be obtained from their respective publishers.

Developed by Harvard Kennedy School's Case Program, Ash Center case studies describe innovations in government, primarily drawing from the work of the winners of the Innovations in American Government Awards Program. These cases are prepared for use in classroom discussion and are useful tools for practitioners. All cases can be purchased at the HKS Case Program website.

Innovations Occasional Papers focus on a host of issues related to innovation in government including public management, technology-enabled transformation, conservation innovation, nonprofit management, and the the nature and dissemination of innovative government practices. These papers can be downloaded from the Government Innovators Network. The Center also features faculty and staff contributions in notable journals and other publications.

The Ash Center conducts periodic surveys on research related to innovations in government. Its 20th Anniversary Survey Report of the Innovations in American Government Awards identifies new areas of research in the field of government innovation.
