Daniel Harsha is the Director of Communications and Strategic Initiatives at the Ash Center. Previously, Harsha served as Communications Director and Senior Professional Staff Member for the Democratic staff of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Senior Legislative Assistant to Congressman Howard Berman (D-CA). He is an expert on international organization affairs — having overseen the Foreign Affairs Committee’s United Nations portfolio and has worked extensively on U.S. foreign assistance policy in the Middle East. Harsha holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics from Oberlin College and a master’s degree in Middle East Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
