In this session, participants will step into the shoes of a team member at a social media giant to learn the challenges that Trust and Safety, Legal, and Engineering teams face in balancing users’ safety with their right to freedom of expression. A persistent and deeply troubling problem of American democracy is low voter participation. The US ranks 28th out 35 OECD countries in voting turnout--55 percent of voting age population in 2016.
