Panelists Jessica Browning, co-chair of the College Republicans National Committee, David Hogg, co-founder of the March For Our Lives movement, Teddy Landis, co-founder of the Harvard Votes Challenge, Johnathan Rangel, youth organizer for 99Rootz/Power California, and Bria Smith, a member of the Milwaukee Youth Council, joined moderator Farah Stockman, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist currently working for the New York Times, for a conversation about getting today’s youth involved in the political process and better familiarizing them with the power of voting. The panelists discussed pre-registering students as voters, a College-wide voter registration initiative called the Harvard Votes Challenge, and increasing voter turnout by emphasizing the power of local politics, as well as nationwide voter drives aimed at registering more high school and college students to vote.
