Israeli Cities: Spaces of Gender Segregation and Women's Growing Power

The Religion, Conflict and Peace Initiative is sponsoring a talk with Dana Myrtenbaum, an Israeli public interest lawyer and social innovator promoting gender mainstreaming and Gender Equality Action plans within local governments in Israel. She will present case studies from Jewish, Arab and mixed cities in Israel, including Haifa and Akko, to demonstrate the challenges and opportunities for gender equality in a time of increasing religiosity. Light refreshments will be served.
