A New Cold War? Geopolitical Implications of the War in Ukraine

Tuesday, March 8, 2022, 9:30am to 10:30am

Virtual event, registration required

As the fighting in Ukraine intensifies, we invite you to join leading historians Arne Westad, Elihu Professor of History at Yale University, author of “The Cold War: A World History”; and Fred Logevall (Moderator), Laurence D. Belfer Professor of International Affairs at Harvard Kennedy School, in conversation. Together, Westad and Logevall will answer the questions: Could the attack on Ukraine be the inciting incident for a second Cold War? Did the Cold War ever really end? And what does history tell us about the global implications of the unfolding conflict?

This event is co-sponsored by the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.
