How can we surface big data insights in a way that supports good decision making? What can developers of technology for campaigns and organizers learn from clinical decision support systems? The Sanders campaign benefited from highly skilled staff and the assistance of expensive consultants. We will look at some of their tools and processes and consider how they could be provided to teams with far less skill.

Learn how insights from big data can support decision- making in the public sphere and how they can be applied to furthering the goals of advocacy campaigns. In this workshop, participants will learn how the tools used by Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign can be used by smaller organizations.
