Artificial intelligence is already having an impact on politics. Join us as we hear from three companies who are using AI technologies today to aid politicians in creating campaign material, connecting with donors, and drafting legislation.

Speakers include:

  • Aaron Berger, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of DonorAtlas
  • Hillary Lehr, CEO of Quiller; Harvard Kennedy School MPA 2025
  • Roger Lin, Founder of Legislaide
  • Bruce Schneier (Moderator), Renowned Security Technologist and Lecturer in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School

About the Speakers

Aaron Berger is the co-founder and CTO of DonorAtlas. He previously did research in agricultural robotics and vision systems at Carnegie Mellon University, working on projects with the USDA and NASA. Berger has worked on political technology since high school. He majored in Computer Science at Harvard, but stepped away as a Junior last year to found DonorAtlas.

Hillary Lehr is the CEO of Quiller and an Operating Partner at Higher Ground Labs, an accelerator specializing in political tech startups. Previously, Lehr served as the Vice President of Client Success at Hustle, ran partnerships at Brigade and Causes.com, and spent five years innovating digital resources for nonprofits and campaigns. Lehr holds BA and BS degrees from UC Berkeley, an MBA from Quantic, and just completed her MPA at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Roger Lin is the Founder and CEO of Legislaide, an AI-powered platform streamlining legislative workflows for local governments. Previously, he co-founded and exited a food delivery startup in Puerto Rico and built tech for AWS. A Babson College graduate, Lin’s mission is to democratize the legislative process and help governments work smarter with AI. Bruce Schneier is currently an advisor for Legislaide.

About the AI

DonorAtlas helps political campaigns and nonprofits find and research donors. Users search for donors using natural language (“Show me attorneys in Cambridge who have supported animal rights causes”). Each donor profile is enriched with biographical information, nonprofit and political affiliations, hot-button issues, and more, all with cited sources. Within six months of launching, DonorAtlas had over a hundred clients, including congressional and gubernatorial campaigns, state political parties, and nonprofits in the immigration and healthcare sectors.

Quiller is the first-to-market generative AI content platform designed specifically to help campaigns and nonprofits create high-impact customized content. From fundraising emails to op-eds to volunteer scripts, Quiller moves teams from concept to final draft instantly. Launched in 2023, Quiller has helped organizations like Everytown for Gun Safety, Human Rights Campaign, senate campaigns and local candidates reduce burnout save over 5,000 hours of precious time.

Legislaide is an AI-powered platform designed to streamline the legislative and administrative processes in local government. By leveraging advanced AI tools, Legislaide enables municipalities to draft legislation, conduct legal research, retrieve documents efficiently, and ensure compliance with municipal, state, and federal codes. With a focus on efficiency, accessibility, and compliance, Legislaide helps local governments get more done with fewer resources, reducing research and drafting time by up to 75% while preserving institutional knowledge.
