The Gettysburg Project

The Gettysburg Project is an executive session that will bring together leaders of organizations who are devoted to mobilizing citizens to engage in public life – such as workplace issues, economic development, environmental protection, distributive justice, and political inclusion – to experiment and develop new paradigms, models, and supportive infrastructure of deeper, more inclusive public engagement in the 21st century. The project convened a group of leading organizers, activists, technology innovators, educators, and scholars in January 2013 at the Roosevelt Library in Hyde Park, NY, for a successful pilot meeting. The Project hosted a second convening in March 2014 and a third in October 2014 in Cambridge, MA. The Gettysburg team is co-led by Archon Fung and Marshall Ganz, now in residence at the Ash Center.
