Cambridge, MA—The Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, a research center at Harvard Kennedy School, was rated a top university-affiliated think tank and listed as one of the best transparency and good governance think tanks in the latest edition of the “Global Go To Think Tank Index Report.”
The Index, produced annually by James McGann, director of the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania’s Lauder Institute, serves to, “identify and recognize centers of excellence in policy research, forge knowledge and policy partnerships and create a global think tank village.” This year the Index is based off of information from over 8,100 think tanks around the world and more than 3,750 journalists, policy makers, public and private donors, and functional and regional area specialists participated in the TTSCP think tank index survey.
“The Ash Center community of faculty, fellows, students, and staff works daily to make the world a better place,” said Ash Center Director Anthony Saich, Daewoo Professor of International Affairs. “It is exciting to see this effort honored and to be recognized alongside our colleagues at the Harvard Kennedy School.”
The Ash Center is joined in the rankings by peer Harvard Kennedy School research institutions: the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Center for International Development, and Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business & Government.
