Instead of prosecution, the Pima County Attorney’s Office uses Community Justice Board volunteers trained to apply restorative justice practices with first- and second-time arrested juvenile offenders. Using family conferences, the volunteers assign strength-based consequences designed to empower the juvenile while also holding them accountable for their criminal conduct.
