Dien Luong is currently a visiting fellow at the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, a think tank in Singapore. A journalist with significant experience as managing editor at Vietnam's top newsrooms, his work has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Guardian, the HuffPost, South China Morning Post, Nikkei Asia, Al Jazeera, and other publications. Dien has also authored book chapters and monographs on the intersection of geopolitics and social media in Vietnam.
Dien holds a Master's degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism as a Fulbright scholar. In May 2016, he was named one of the four recipients of the Foreign Press Association Scholarship Awards, which honors young journalists for their work and accomplishments.
