Gabriel Chiu is a China Public Policy Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ash Center of Harvard Kennedy School. Dr. Chiu researches the evolution of entrepreneurship and the private sector in China and compares it with the West. He uses in-depth interviews, survey experiments, and computational methods to examine the changing attitudes, identities, social norms, and business-government relations. Dr. Chiu holds a Ph.D. in economic sociology from Stanford University, a M.Sc. in sociology from Oxford University, and a M.Sc. in management and strategy from the London School of Economics. He also has work experience in the private sector in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Silicon Valley.
