Hussain Abbas is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Politics and International Relations (SPIR), Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) and a visiting faculty member at QAU and National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. He has received his Masters and M.Phil. degrees from the SPIR, QAU Islamabad.  During Hussain’s M.Phil., he worked on a dissertation titled “US Policy of Democracy Promotion: A Comparative Study of Iraq and Afghanistan.” His work has been published on variety of topics i.e. US democracy promotion in Iraq, Counter-terrorism and peace process in Afghanistan, Popular Revolutions in Middle East, and the like. Currently, he is working on Chinese Foreign Policy. Hussain’s research focus is “Chinese Foreign Policy Discourse: Sources, Patterns and Transformation.” It will be a discursive analysis of the Chinese wisdom with specific emphasis on master narrative of Chinese foreign policy and its relationship with practice in different eras.
