Manfred Elfstrom

Manfred Elfstrom was a China Public Policy Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ash Center. Dr. Elfstrom's research focused on the political impact of China's rising labor unrest.  He received his Ph.D. from Cornell University's Department of Government.  In addition, Dr. Elfstrom has a master's degree from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and a bachelor's degree from Oberlin College. He worked for several years in the non-profit world, supporting workers’ rights and improved grassroots governance in China.
