Muradiye Ateş is a visiting fellow at the Ash Center, Harvard Kennedy School. She received graduate and undergraduate degrees in business administration from the Vienna University of Economics. She is currently pursuing her PhD in social policy in Turkey. Prior to her current position at Harvard, Muradiye was head advisor of a parlement member in Turkey. She is co-founder of Bostan Social Innovation Institute in Turkey (www.sosyalinovasyon.net). Her research interests include social development and welfare, social innovation, social enterprises and innovation in social and public policy. Her current research focuses on role of the government in supporting social innovative activities in developing countries in general, in Turkey particularly.
