Yuheng Wen, CPA, CFA holds a Master of Science in Finance from University of Maryland, College Park and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from University of International Business and Economics, China. Yuheng now studies management, leadership and strategy in the Master in Public Administration program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Born in a village of Henan Province, central China, Yuheng dropped out of middle school to support his family and traveled to many parts of China as a migrant worker in a construction company. Yuheng returned to high school after five years in construction and entered university four years later. He graduated the four-year college program in three years and worked in Citi Bank Beijing for a year before coming to the US.
After completing his M.S., Yuheng worked as a financial analyst and manager in the Financial Planning and Analysis Department of AMIDEAST and Hilton Headquarter, respectively. In the meantime, Yuheng actively devotes himself to expanding education opportunities for Chinese migrant workers, a group that he once belonged to and that still includes many of his friends and family members. He also pays tuitions for and mentors college students from migrant worker families in China.
