The Public Laboratory for Open Technology and Science (PLOTS) and SafeCast are two groups that have developed and deployed low-cost digital tools that people can use to monitor the effects of these disasters and other public risks on their environment.... About the Film
Bringing King to China is about a young American woman struggling to bring Martin Luther King, Jr.s dream of nonviolence to China, and then back to the United States. Believing in the universality of Dr Kings ideals, Caitrin McKiernan decides to produce a play in China about Dr. King, in collaboration with the National Theater of China. With the U.S. deeply embroiled in wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan, she not only wants to show that there is a different side to America, but also to use Dr. Kings ideas on nonviolence to build a bridge between the U.S. and China....
