On April 26, The David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies hosts its 30th Anniversary Symposium. This event is co-sponsored by the Ash Center of Democratic Governance and Innovation.

This event is focused on commemorating 30 years of impactful achievements, reflecting on DRCLAS’s legacy and look ahead to the pressing challenges and opportunities facing our region.

Join us for a day of meaningful dialogue and celebration of our heritage as we explore key issues that shape Latin America, including the defense of democracy, climate change, the impact of crime on society and entrepreneurship and innovation in the region.

Let’s come together to celebrate our past, envision the future, and make impossible conversations possible.

  • Vik Muniz, Artist and Photographer
  • Linda Rottenberg, Co-founder and CEO of Endeavor
  • Enrique Ortiz, Program Director of the Andes Amazon Fund
  • Carlos Alvarado Quesada, President of Costa Rica (2018-2022)
  • Monica Serrano, Professor of International Relations at El Colegio de Mexico
  • Izabella Teixeira, Co-chair of the UN International Resource Panel
