Crowd Counting Consortium, Nonviolent and Violent Campaigns and Outcomes Data Project
The Women in Resistance (WiRe) Data Project, a joint research initiative led by Harvard Kennedy School’s Erica Chenoweth and Zoe Marks, examines the extent of women’s participation in the campaigns contained in NAVCO from 1945-2019 – and the short– and long-term effects of such participation on women’s empowerment and egalitarian democracy. The WiRe+ Data Project includes indicators of LGBTQ+ and youth participation in such campaigns from 1990-2020.
