Cassy Dorff is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Vanderbilt University, where Dorff also serves as teaching faculty in the Data Science Institute’s master’s program and holds an affiliated faculty appointment at the LGBTQ Policy Lab. Dorff completed a doctorate at Duke University and has previously held faculty positions at the University of Denver and the University of New Mexico. Broadly, Dorff’s scholarship centers on the study of peace and conflict.

Current and recent research projects fall within two primary areas: (1) computational and network-based approaches to analyzing multi-actor armed conflicts and (2) examining the factors that influence political movement participation and civilian agency in settings marked by environmental and/or political disruption.
