Professor Nikki Moodie is an Indigenous sociologist and incoming Director of Indigenous Studies at The University of Melbourne, Australia. She has most recently concluded her term as Program Director of Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity, a 20-year philanthropic investment in Indigenous-led social change. She is a current Fulbright Senior Scholar and recipient of the 2025 Australian Indigenous Fulbright Award.

Across the fields of sociology and education, Nikki has worked with universities, community organizations and governments to develop innovative approaches to professional development for Indigenous leaders and on Indigenous issues. She is published in the fields of Indigenous education and public policy, on the topics of Indigenous nationhood, reconciliation, gender and racism. She holds a PhD in sociology from the Australian National University, and a BA in anthropology and political science from the University of Queensland.
