Reimagining Democracy Program

Tatiana Olmedo Escobar is a Colombian lawyer and public policy specialist. She has advised the Vice-Presidency of Colombia on global strategies for biodiversity and racial justice, playing a key role in shaping the country’s position at COP16.

Tatiana’s work bridges law and policy. At the Afrodiasporic Studies Center, she co-authored research for Colombia’s Truth Commission, contributed to the global study about the Impacts of anti-blackness, and documented legal findings on Colombia’s Bojaya Massacre. She currently serves as a researcher on drug policy at the Racial Justice Collective, where she explores the intersection of race, regulation, and structural inequality. Her legal experience spans corporate and constitutional law, with a strong emphasis on human rights advocacy and strategic litigation.

Beyond her professional work, Tatiana is a classically pianist and a passionate follower of interior design and architecture.
