Public opinion, ideology, online public sphere and state-society relations in China
Yinxian Zhang is a China Public Policy Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ash Center. Yinxian’s research focuses on public opinion, ideology, the (online) public sphere, and state-society relations in China. Her work combines qualitative and computational methods to explore the nature of, and the changes in, the Chinese public sphere under the influence of state control. Yinxian received her M.A. and Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Chicago.
