Sarah Hubbard

Program Involvement
Sarah Hubbard is the Associate Director for Technology & Democracy at the Ash Center’s Allen Lab for Democracy Renovation and was previously a Technology & Public Purpose Fellow at the Belfer Center under Secretary Ash Carter. Her current work focuses on the governance of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence.
She is a product leader who has led various cross-functional engineering teams building products in artificial intelligence, mixed reality, and intelligent devices at both Apple and Microsoft. Previously, Sarah also worked at The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, University of Washington Tech Policy Lab, and NASA. Her work has appeared at ACM CHI, FTCPrivacyCon, Grace Hopper Celebration, COMPUTEX, ETHDenver, and other venues.
