Jahaida Jesurum is a project coordinator at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard Kennedy School, leading impactful initiatives promoting democratic values and innovative governance at the intersection of democracy and antiracism. With a background at MIT’s Office of Corporate Relations and extensive advocacy experience in NYC’s nonprofit and government sectors, she’s dedicated her career to empowering marginalized communities, including brown, black, and Hispanic populations, women immigrants, and youth. Fluent in English, Spanish and French, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Communication from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo and a Journalism Print and Digital Media certificate from NYU. Jahaida’s commitment to public service is further demonstrated by her Public Leadership Certificate from Harvard Kennedy School and her pursuit of a Master of Liberal Arts in Government at the Harvard Extension School.
