Nate Nickerson

Nate oversees the Ash Center’s complex portfolio of sponsored awards by editing proposals, creating budgets, and developing financial forecasts to foster healthy teams and projects. He works closely with faculty, managers, and program staff to keep projects on track and acts as the Center’s primary liaison with sponsors. Nate assists in the development and implementation of the Center’s internal procedures and workflows while serving as its expert resource for sponsor policies and contractual compliance.

Nate previously spent five years at Harvard Medical School as Senior Finance and Grants Manager in the biological chemistry department and prior to that worked as a financial analyst in the investment banking field. Nate studied economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a focus on Marxist thought as well as Chinese language and literature.
